Default Relocating/hiding coil packs

I know some people have moved them iff the valvecovers, but where to? How long is a safe length for the wires? Where did you put them and a picture?. I want to put them under my headers but I'm worried about heat

Most are re-located under the cowl. Kits are available through a few vendors (Thunder Racing for example)...Katech offers a re-positioned coil kit that locates the coils parallel to the ground but is still mounted to the valve cover - an aftermarket cover only.

Not sure what your situation is or which direction you prefer, but I have the Katech version (never installed) that can't be used for my application for sale if interested.

custom made brackets and wires for me passenger side coil packs are where the ecm sets on the factory car which you can sort of see in this picture, and the driver side is under the plexiglass panel where the fuse boxes were located from the factory. but my whole car is pretty much custom at this point.

no problems but i eventually want to redo it, since my car only gets out when its pretty i think i want to relocate them laterally on the frame rail (under the ac canister for the passenger side, and under the box the brake lines go into on the driver side)

but that is quite a ways off and sorry for the dirty pic but its the only one i have at the moment

a lot of the FI guys put the coils on the frame rails. and i like that idea too. I have mine under the cowl, got the kit from CC Performance. Nice kit but i want something with shorter wires. I will probably go back to coils on valve covers like the new LS9 valve covers and coils. same idea as the LS1's but it looks cleaner.
