Default LS1 Engine Cover?
Will the engine cover for the 5th gen camaro fit on a 2001 camaro? Maybe requiring a little work to make it fit? Also how does it mount?

I don't know that there is enough clearance for it. I know the vette engine covers take some modifying to fit. If someone wants to try this though, I am also interested to know.

They are like 20 bucks on ebay. I may just buy one to try it out.

Don't think so. The 5th gen accessories are in different locations (power steering, etc.)

I could have sworn someone did this before. Ill try to find a pic.

Edit: nvm it was on an LT1, but you will have to trim it to fit.

I saw the guys on Horsepower TV cut the center section out after they installed a twin-screw LS1 blower. They used the side pieces as FRC's so I know those will fit. Not sure about the center though...

I saw that car in person at a local event (I think)... It looked "decent". If there was a normal plastic intake there, it would look awful with the cut lines.
