Default Door Panel Inserts

Ive got the door panels pulled off to do window motors, so I decided to do the door panels while theyre off. I had two questions about it. First how do you remove the board from the plastic clips on the inside of the door? The second question is does anyone put any type of padding down between the board and the vinyl? If so, what should I use? Thanks for the help.

i believe you either have to cut or melt the plastic to actually get the insert off the door panel. as for the padding, i would say just some sort of thin foam

Yep, you have to cut the plastic tabs to release the cardboard, then use some epoxy to reattach. IF your very careful sometimes you can trim it enough to leave some of the tabs & just remelt them down.
