thats gay. turbo's are more efficent, sound cooler, and can make FULL boost at low rpm and hold it forever. keep rpm's down, shift at like 6000, and drive it forever.

get the bogarts and leave the center's out. just make sure to pretty up the hubs/axle ends. that looks 'race' more than anything. get some cool long studs and open-ended lugnuts.

Gay? Thats kind of harsh Ryan.

1. The Magnuson fits the 1st gen without any modifications.

2. No readily available turbo kit for 1st gen LS1 Camaros (custom is $$$)

3. I'm not looking for 700 rwhp. 500 is more than enough for now.

4. I want a traditional looking blower for this musclecar. Polished blower and polished billet valvecovers. The "look" is just as important as the power for this project.

5. Wheels without centercaps . I said I want a "race" inspired look, not ghetto actual race car look. The car is far too clean to pull off being a "real" racecar.

6. The Bogarts don't show off enough brake. I want those $2K Baer disks/calipers to stand out.

Great deal huh!

BTW: on the iForged site you can go to the showroom and click under the BMW section, they show those wheels powdercoated black . They are quite a bit bigger than 17 but you get the idea .

Is the Magnusun a twin-screw type blower, or a roots style? Go with twinscrew if you are going to go with that "type" of blower VS Centrifugal (SP?). I just went through this with my cousin, and we did a lot of research. It seems that when you start upping the boost a little (which you will ) the roots style blowers become very Inefficient, start to heat up the intake charge, and make a boatload less power (not to mention cause problems). Take a look at the '03 cobra for example, alot of them with the Eaton blower are dynoqueens and do not run the number at the track....Put a twin screw on it and here come the nines! BTW: my buddy JleeWS6 tought me a bunch about this, he had a lot of experience with mustangs and blowers back in the day

Ryan, that '67 belongs to a guy on Pro-Touring.com that posts as STRTFYTR (Steve). I like the color and the stripe on that car, as well as his Kinesis wheels. I don't like the red interior with that color, or how high the car sits, or that "tatoo" logo on the side of the car. But, he was looking for something different. I'd like to keep the body and interior on this car very close to original looking, but have updated wheels/brakes/engine/tranny. Twin turbo setup is my ultimate goal, but maybe a year or two down the road.

niphilli, I do not want a 9-second car. This car's purpose will be for cruising in occasionally when the weather is nice, attending various carshows, and hopefully more than a few magazine features. I have plans to build another LS1-equipped vehicle to run 9s, so this Camaro will remain a street-toy only. 500 rwhp in a 3200 lb car is plenty.

Tony

Nick,

I just told Jason who I ordered the wheels with that the T/A was stock and that I thought it had a an offset of 50mm. He thought I was right but said that Intro would verify that before making them. So unless you have a set-up other than stock alignment like lowering etc., just tell them it's stock and let them do the rest. Afterall, they are the pros. As far as the BMW in the gallery, you can also look at the Black Z06. The wheels are almost identical to the ones I ordered, except that they are 18's instead of 17's.

Enjoy.
