Strano and BMR give about the same stance with good performance. But after springs you will need new shocks like Bilstein or Koni

OP, great looking car. I'm digging the LT1 tails.

Where did you get yours from?

Anyone know of a good place to pick up a set?

Are your wheels painted, powder coated, or plasti dipped?

Thanks man! I got mine from a guy in Deland, "Yodaslittlebrother" i think his name was on here. They were in decent shape, but i did have to work on em a bit to clean em up. I want to get another set, the ones i have, the clear part is starting to age :/ and with no way to clean the inside of the lamp, its hard to clean.

They are plasti-dipped for now. I'll get em powder coated later this year.

the ls1 tail lights are total fail. they messed up the lines when they made them

that being said... i modified my lt1 tailights to include an amber bulb.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utidqyeXWFo

in the video (which is OLD), the car is only hooked up to a small dewalt 12 volt battery, and it kinda shows, but right now they are working just fine with a normal car battery.

i put the amber bulbs in the reverse light housing. I dont care about reverse lights, so i dont have any right now, BUT.... the reverse light housing is actually split, so if you wanted to, you could dremel out a new hole and run them.

the only complaint is that i can still see the amber bulb through the clear lense. i am considering switching to an LED bulb, but i just dont have much time with all my other projects

i completely re-wired the car, so my wiring would be different then yours.

i was actually thinking about putting the amber bulb in the other side of the reverse light buld like you said. i dont have that much knowledge on wiring, but it sounds like something cool to do. when i get an extra set of LT1 tail lights i'll probably try it out lol

Welcome to the club. and for the record LT1 tails > LS1 tails. thats a fact. they follow the lines of the hatch and look cleaner. i altered mine to have sequential blinkers and brakes. uses stock reverse lights.

yeah I've always thought the LT1's flowed so much better. glad others think so as well haha I would love to do the sequential blinkers mod. it looks pretty sick

Quick Reply: just put the LT1 tail's on :)
