Default Track WEIGHT

Just a little info for those putting thier Camaro's on a diet: gas weighs 6 lbs per gallon (about 72 lbs in the total fuel system. When @ the track, have a 1/4 tank or less, please) Back seat weighs 25 lbs, windshield wiper fluid weighs 8 1/3 lds pers gallon, (holds about 2 gallons?) Z28 owners with after market "SS" hoods made from fiber glass will will slim down a little. But my question is, I live in Florida where there are no emissions test, so I leave my exhust cut out wide open all the time, should I take off my FlowMaster exhaust to save weight, or will it look wierd. I spent $150 on custom stainless steel exhust tips, it would kind of seem like a waste for the tips, but whatever, it's one weekend in South Beach! I'm guessing you could probably save another 20 - 25 lbs by taking you spare tire, and "jack" out. With all this slimming down, you'll be much closer to the weight of a Vett. Good luck, and lets see those time slips. I also need help posting pics thanks SSpilot

When not using the car everyday, keep it filled up, or condisation will form, and nobody wants water in thier fuel tank.

I weighed my car at the track the other day and it weighed 3580 with me in it. 1/4 tank of fuel, no spare. Is this light or heavy for a stock F-body?

How much do u weigh? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> If your average weight it would mean your car would weigh 3400~ thats pretty good. My Z28 weighed 3400 stock and my SS weighed about 3500.
