what i have been wondering about is if someone filled in the camaro letters, and got a new gold bowtie like they have on all the new vehicles, and center it.

It could be done. You should be able get the rear bowtie from a 5th gen at your local Chevy dealer's parts department. It might look weird though since the bowtie is about a 1/2 inch thick and sticks out from the surface.

On a side note, I've seen the 5th gen grill bowtie placed in the grill on an LT1 4th gen, right over the factory red bowtie and it looked pretty good.
