Default Went a different route with the tips

I've been running the Hooker cat-back for quite a while now with either no tips or my old LM1's which I liked but are kinda small. I've been wanting to run the Hookers but the were just too damn big and stuck out way too far -not sure what they were thinking or maybe I got a fluke set..

So I decided I wanted to get the Hookers cut down and possibly slash cut. Went to a few different exhaust shops around here and no one had the ability to cut them without messing them up. So after staring at them a while I said screw it and busted out the sawz-all. I took about 2-1/2" off the tail pipes to get them to tuck in better. In the process I also painted them black to accent the Berger panel and new wheels.

Left side needs some minor tweaking. I think it'll keep me happy for a while, but should I keep the ends silver or paint them?

Not bad, Im running a hooker catback too and the pipes coming out the muffler are definitely too long for the tips, or vise versa. When by buddy and I installed it we ended up pushing the pipes deeper into the tips so the tips were flush with the bumper, so no cutting required. You can see in the first pic the pipe deeper into the tip:

How it turned out:

Although I think a slash cut tip would look better.

IDK. I've got Corsa Clones on mine and yeah they get the exhaust carbon on them but if he keeps then clean like I do my Corsa Clones, he shouldn't have to much to worry about. But that's just my $0.02 though.

I thought about sliding them further back onto the pipe but because of the welds on the tips they wouldn't go past the neck. I actually started grinding down the weld in one of them but tired of messing with it which is why I said the hell with it and chopped the pipes instead.

I'll probably paint the ends and see how it looks, I can always scrape it off if need be.

Must be a Hooker catback thing, I cut about 2" off my pipes before the tip to tuck them under. Now I don't feel like I'm gonna trip on them when I walk around the back.
