3M Swirl Remover Guys Inside *update*
I'm a Zaino guy, but Z5 just isn't covering the swirl marks and blemishes I'm trying to cover up.
What is the right 3M product I need, (number) and what do you recommend as far as application? i.e do I apply it up and down and back and forth like Zaino, or in cirlces? And, can I use this in combination with Z5 and Z2 without having to reaply Z1?
Thanks for all your help. I just have some nasty swirl marks to hide.

I would not use the circle motion. It can induce more swirls. Use front to back and left to right.
If you have bad swirls I would step up the polish a bit, I suggest 3M Finesse It-II, part number: 39003. You don't want to spend all day polishing but you don't want to use too harsh of a product, FI-II is your best bet. Doesn't leave hazing or clouding either.
If you use any of these polishes they are abrasive and will strip your Zaino. Best bet is to strip everything, get the car perfect then re-layer your Zaino.
Let me know if you need more advice.
I'll try the 3M polish Finesse It-II. That can be applied by hand, right? I imagine the same up and down, and back and forth motion.
Thanks for your help.

The dust is the only difference from the light/dark SMR bottles. One is darker and one is lighter, I buy whatever is in stock. Just don't leave the residue on your car and no one will know which you used.
The FI-II can be used by hand. If your polishing by hand, just use one motion (front/back or left/right). I thought you were using a random orbitial polisher.
Thanks Joe.

Put down one coat of Zaino (Z5) and it looks better than new. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> Sweet stuff, and well worth the $$ for the product.

Best way to do it is w/a buffer, hand application works well too, but takes many more coats and elbow grease to get the marks to disappear..
After they are gone, I follow up w/Z5... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Used z1 after the swirl remover, then z5. Jeez, so technical
