So I have a GTO pontiac block and at some point throughout its life it was painted chevy orange instead of the traditional pontiac metallic blue/green colour. im restoring the car and want to paint the block back to the colour its supposed to be.

whats the best way to clean, degrease, prep and paint the thing?!
any advice would be phenomenal! thanks

Hose it down with lacquer thinner is a spray gun closed down to a stream and scuffle with scotchbrite pad. Mask off what you don't want painted and paint away. I would consider primeing before color coming from Orange
