Machine Shop Project I'm taking a Basic Machining class and i know i will need a project towards the end. So far i'm thinking a shift ****, don't know i want yet or the design, but i imagine that won't take very long. What do yall think, throw me some ideas.

^ That's what i'm saying. An end of day project at best. It's only drill press, lathe, and bridgeport mills. There are CNC's in the building, maybe if i get on the teachers good side i could use it for something here and there but yeah probably not that much
I just finished a class like that. I made a letter opener. A friend of mine was making a knife, but he screwed up the handle, so we turned it into a shift ****. There is alot that can be done with a mill and lathe.

shouldnt be too hard to make up some stuff. ive been thinkin of goin to school for welding. anyways heres a shift **** and vacuum manifold my pops made. he made one that kinda looked like a pistol grip btu my bro sold it before i could get a pic.
get good at it and you can make some awesome stuff.

^ I can say from personal experience you wont ever regret the welding. I've gotten a lot of jobs from the class i took and also a ton of home projects.
