Dissassembling TA seats
eBay. com, the OP already gave you the seller's name. Just search seat covers/skins and the seller with the multiple auctions with pictures in the same layout as the OP posted is who you're looking for. Either rubik or CamaroKing.
On the lumbar there is the plastic that is sewed into the leather. All I said is check that its there. If you look at your OE seats you see that accordian looking plastic on the side of the seats, that is stiched into the leather. You can't replace the leather without that stiched into your new leather.
The set I got replaces that plastic part with a leather piece. Examples of this set installed look very well. If the one you got was for non lumbar seats then what you say may be the only solution. Also the guy I got this set from does very nice quality work and its designed to substitute the OEM upholstery with the lumbar support system.

Ok, that works too. With the leather for my 30th I used the OE lumbar plastic, I did want to make that look factory.
I just took apart a OE leather right front upper seat to transfer the leather to my left leather upper seat for my ws6. I found all the hog ties, not the easiest thing to remove and reuse. I decided to remove the leather along with the seat foam. Should be easier to replace on the left seat.
GL, show some pics, I'd like to see how the lumbar leather looks.
I'll make a new thread of before and after of my leather install.
