Buffing ?
But, like the other post read those prices sound about right if you just want someone else to do it.
Also if you start aggressive, you need to step down in order level off the surface.
Before: /^\__/^\ you see peaks and valleys
During: ~~__^~
Finishing: --__--
After: _____
Kinda of a rough example as you may have levelled off the peaks but as you introduce more fine swirls, they will polish out, but you need the right combo.
If you want to pay, and pay for good work. Take it to a professional, and someone people can vouch for.
If you have taken too much off, he may not have much to work with and most good guys will measure the paint to see if its "saveable"
Luckily its a flat color like black so it should level easy.
- How much you will pay depends on the guy doing the work. I would avoid the $100 or less guy unless he knows what he is doing, and its a "side work" type situation. I would fall under that catagory. But even with my equipment, I will spend at least an afternoon, start to finish, which includes adding protection back which 100$ would be a small part of the bill.
