thanks on the car compliments!
as far as the STB. it was originally red but it just seemed out of place so I sprayed it black. we'll see where that changes next hah
i sanded, threw on some adhesion promotor, and then that duplicolor perfect match you were talking about, instead of silver metallic though I think it was like ultra silver metallic, just to get a little more pop under there hopefully. It defiantely could have been sanded down a lot better and smoother to really make it shine like some of the engine bays guys have done. as far as the clear coat I used engine enamel high temp clear

Yeah looks great, you must have been busting your butt in those 8 hours though, i have 8 hours in painting brackets and crap like that, i should start spraying the bay this week, i have decided that dupicolor works so well im just going to paint it, did you use any primer at all?

It's not as shiny as I would like, because I didnt bust my butt too much on the sanding ;] thanks tho guys. no primer.. i went with the adhesion promotor, and then sprayed a light coating of black for a base before the silver. I tried spraying the silver first and it wasn't really showing up well. Once the black was on there, the silver went on nice
