Just get the SS hood and spoiler but DO NOT put SS badges, I would get aftermarket Z28 emblems from Emblempros, your set.

I think it was a jab at how many platforms GM has tossed SS badges on. I mean, come on, a Malibu Maxx SS? They really diminished the significance of the badge when they started doing that crap. That always bothered me about GM...the other thing that bothers me is when I see a clone that I can clearly tell is a clone due to poorly placed badges. If you are going to do it, do it right and at least get the badges in the right spot.

And call it a clone or "tribute car." For some reason, I just get the impression that the OP wouldn't be cognizant to that theory.

pretty much all you need to make a SS is the apearance stuff. hood spoiler and badges.

most of the z28s i see have at least the hood. the only people that seem to have the flat hood are the v6 owners.

and if you didnt know the WU8 code is on the door of a SS car.

i wanna get ZL1 badges myself but i dont want people laughing at me just yet.

and 90% of the people i talk to would have no idea what a ZL1 was. and if they did they probably wouldnt know about the 4th gen version.

i would rock the flat hood with my V8, but would like the ss spoiler. There are a few cats on here that have their cars that way and i think they look BAMF. Gm has destroyed the ss name, it means nothing anymore. Oh well.

Before I found the SS I currently have, I was looking for another Z28. I was fully convinced I'd be putting on a Harwood cowl as I wanted to fully embrace having a Z28 - and I think the Harwood looks awesome

I'm going with a 4" cowl hood if I had a Z28.

people on this board are OCD!

Who cares if Someone puts hood/spoiler/badges on a non SS car.

If you are buying one then just make sure to check the code on the door.

Most non car people don't know what a z28 is but will definitely know SS.

I agree............ Its still a camaro with add ons. Once you mod a car its yours to do whatever you want it to be.

I dont see a problem with it. I have an ss hood on my z28 and im currently looking for an ss spoiler as well. Im just going to leave the z28 badges however since its not a big deal to me.

Spot on.

Z28's should only have an SS spoiler paired with a stock or Sunoco hood lol

Don't badge it as an ss and it'll be cool. Badge it as an ss and you will be what the other dude said: a poser. Nothing wrong with a z/28 anyway.
