Default Head liner install

Hey, I just got my head liner wrapped in suede, before it was wrapped I placed some fiberglass on the back to add strength. The problem is I covered the hole where the plastic fastener secures it to the cieling, and the suede is covering the hole also. What suggestions can you guys give me to secure it well, I thought of foam blocks and Velcro?

Why not drill out the hole and mount it the stock way? Can you see or feel the hole in any way? If not, can you get access to another headliner for comparison and measurement?

I'm going to try and mark the hole using tape, and attempt to line it up with the headliner and drill it.

I'm just spit-balling an idea, but try this to help mark it:
* Put a dowel or bolt in the hole in the roof (whichever works).
* Line up the headliner and press/tap the headliner where touches the dowel/bolt.
* That should leave a mark where you need to make the hole.
* A dob of contrasting paint on the end of the dowel/bolt will definitely help.
