Here are a few old shots of my appearance bolts and washers from Hillco, I, Like most of us, obsessed over "Steve's look" and with Rob, Steve, and Todds help......I spent more cash!....and isn't that whats it's all about?!!.......I put mine together a little at a time like Rob, the kit idea is genuis and a much better option....

the hood latch is missing the larger appearance (Red) washers in the pic, I was still waiting on another order for them when I took this alooooongg time ago.....

nice shot of the hood brackets........

if you want the ultimate "stealth" detail, here it is......after all Rob and Steve did it first!........

Are they going to offer this kit for LT1's too?

Sniff.. Sniff.. Reading this thread im SO damn proud.. You know I actually am proud of some of the "firsts" I did with that car.. I smile everytime I see someone do on of my "patient zero" mods..

Note.. a lot of the bolts are exactly the same for LT1's but they don't make a kit specific to LT1's

ok, dont' laugh, but I FINALLY finished installing all of my bolts. The hang up was the fact that the bolts they sent for the Hood Kit were so short that I couldn't even get a nut started on there...they sent me some longer ones, and I can get a nut on, but not to the locking part so I'm still un happy with that.

they also forgot 2 of the washers/appearance washers for the radiator support kit that they send they'd send out to me about 6 weeks ago.

they also did not send me anything for my hood latch, seems like it should have had something for that.

Oh yeah, I paid extra for the Hotchkis kit, and the nuts are a completely different thread and will not go on.

Ryan and I definately have to have a little chat soon.

Yea, I had some of the same problems, especially the missing hood latch pieces. I talked to Ryan about it and I believe they have added those pieces to the kit. He sent mine out right away, but the initial order took forever.

I had the same problems with my hood bolts being too short. When I spoke to Ryan about it, he said that he has been hearing this alot. He did say that they will have another car in the shop this weekend, so he will be measuring everything again.

well at least I feel better that if enough of us are having the problems, then I'm sure he'll fix us up.

of course though, I guess that's what we get for being the first ones to order the kit and we certainly put enough pressure on him to quickly bring it to market.

Yea, Ryan wasnt sure if maybe they changed the size of the bolts on different years. Though I've been in touch with Ryan for the past two weeks and told him to expect to hear from me next week. Between trying to get the right size stuff and ordering more new stuff, I know Hillco phone # by heart!! lol!!!

I have had similar issues bu Ryan has been cooperative thus far. I e-mailed him about 2 weeks ago about this, but he has yet to respond. What is the phone number? I seem to have misplaced it. In addition to the above stated problems, the screws that I received for the MAF ends are to thick to fit my MAF. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

If the chrome washers get wet from rain, do they tarnish or rust at all?

Have had mine for 6 months now and everything still looks brand new. And of course my car don't see rain that often.

Well, I ordered mine a couple of weeks back and they arrived today. Everything looks great. After thinking for a little while today though, I believe I'm gonna send them back for stainless instead of chrome. After doing a few hot rods, I don't want to have to replace the chrome pieces whenever they start pitting like I did on my hot rods. I'll give Hillco a call tomorrow, but does anyone have them in polished stainless with some pics? Just wanting to know if it's a show polish, or if I'll need to do more polishing once they arrive.

Did you buy those latches and things, or have them chrome dipped?
