Default Is a Vacuum gauge needed?

i purchased the 3 pod pillar, i have air/fuel...fuel pressure..all the gauges on the dash work.. so i need something to fill in this last spot... would a vacuum gauge be worth doing? if not, what other recommendations

oil temp, another oil pressure, vacuum, egt. none of those are really necessary, i want to do a 3 gauge pillar just for the looks, but i dont really think i have enough gauges to fill them, might just do a 2 gauge pillar

thats the problem the 3guage pillar is cheaper! by like 30-40 bucks ... so i might as well go with it. and i can get a full package with 3 gauges for 160! im just having a hard time trying to figure out what to use for the last gauge

A vacuum gauge will tell you a lot about your motor's health. It can also help improve your gas mileage if you use it properly

my personal experience: I bought the 3 pillar with air fuel ratio (which unless you get a wideband is a pointless gauge anyway) an oil temp, and a trans temp gauge... the trans temp never worked from day 1 and it was wired right.... the oil temp lasted about a year and started doing the same thing, and the afr never did anything more than flop back and forth and light up... didnt tell me anything. By the time i took them out of the car none of it worked.

Even if he doesn't have stall, I'd put a trans temp gauge in any automatic that is driven hard or sees track time.

As for GlowShift, I run their 2 1/16 tach and water temp gauges in a pod, and they've been reliable and reasonably accurate. I have gotten kind bored and will probably replace the water temp with an AutoMeter Elite (NASCAR-type) gauge, and an oil temp gauge of the same type.

I too have glowshift. Installed auto trans temp and fuel pressure. Saving my third spot for a wideband.

Which pillar did you go with? the one glow shift offers or another brand?
