Default Best method to remove swirl marks and light scratches?

Luckily since my car is white it hides swirl marks and scratches better than most. I'm curious though, besides taking it to a detailer and paying over $100 to get it professionally detailed, what's the best way to PERMANENTLY remove swirl marks and scratches?

That's basically impossible. Even if you get the paint perfect, there's always a chance of something scratching the paint, no matter what precautions you take.

Are you saying it's impossible to remove swirl marks?

Well, they will always come back by the same methods that brought them there in the first place. It's like saying your car won't PERMANENTLY stay clean. Of course it's going to get dirty again.

I guess when I said permanently, I meant I don't want to go about getting rid of the swirls only to have a compound fill in the swirls and have it fall out a few days later. I'd like to get rid of those swirls, and let new swirls gradually come in later on, since they are unavoidable anyways.

They are avoidable with proper washing and care.
