VHT Help!!!!

I had my taillight painted with gloss black paint on my tails and I don't like them because there to dark I'm taking to do vht them but with a light coat but I need to see cars with one or two or three coats on them. And one last thing how do I get the paint off the tail lights

I just did mine with vht and it came out pretty good I put 5 coats tho... I like mine dark..

Sand them down and start over. I tried brake cleaner and super clean etc to remove it and mine wouldn't budge. So I sanded em down and buffed em up and reshot em. Turned outgreat but I got tired of gettin tickets for it so I sanded em again n now I'm back to stock lol

Sand it off with some high grit sand paper.

I only have 180, 120 ,400 ,800 on a da sander what would be the best way

I would probably start with 1000 then goto 1500 and you can polish them back from that.

Do it by hand or you'll find out the real reason they call it a DA. Where are you looking for paper at? Try a quality parts store or paint store for a good wet/dry paper like 3M.

3 coats vht + 3 coats clear + wetaand and buff on mine (spoiler is back on)

You can polish back from 800 if you use heavy duty rubbing compound. I'd go 1000 though if you are not gonna clear coat.. We 800 headlights and then clear, look like new every time, no cloudiness.
