Suprisingly the only hack work on the car is the Menards spray can primer job an a few painted interior plastics which I have since fixed. Floors/underside are amazing as well as a fairly unmolested engine bay! In the works of sanding the primer off and locating LS1 front end pieces

Sanded down a little more primer today along with removing the side trim and "Trans Am" decals (which the decals only will be reapplied after paint) You can see a section where a dent needs pulled out on the front of the quarter.

Picked up a "new" rear bumper to replace my cracked old one. Now to strip the old paint, scuff up and prep the bumper along with the rest of the car

Last nights progress...started stripping the rear bumpers paint. Need to go back and wetsand with some 320 grit but little by little I'm getting there. While she runs and drives good, my goal is to have her painted and ready for the LTx Shootout this year!

Sorry for lack of updates, been busy with the house. I plan on repainting her black with silver stripes.

Only work I've done was find a set of LS1 taillight and sanded down the rear bumper. I'm free all week so hope to make some progress on her!

I do have a lead on an Ls1 front end...trying to come up with the money for it at the moment.

Still need:
Pass ground effect
Pass sail panel triangle
Spoiler/rear bumper lens
Top dash panel
Rear window molding
Ws6 wheels/tires

Other than that...she's slowly coming along. I'm torn whether or not to leave the engine stock as its unmolested or to gut the useless stuff and install headers/cam/bolt ons. Afraid if I start modifying the engine, it will spin out of control...always does!

He's right outside the city where I live and has a graveyard of firebirds he parts out.

Put a down payment down for an LS1 front end! Hope to have the fenders and side ground effect here soon so I can get it prepped for paint. The rest short of the hood will come next paycheck! Can't wait to get her together!

Sweet!!

Despite the heat got a little more sanding done today, sanded underneath the spoiler, the rest of the drivers door, and part of the ground effect. Just basically stripping the car down to original paint, them going to spot prime, seal and base/clear the car. You can see the front of the quarter where the dent needs pulled. Anyone local want to volunteer??? ;-)

Sorry for lack of updates lately. Been busy actually working on the car and housework. I figured short term goal is to paint the car as is with the LT1 front end so I can get the car in paint sooner. I'll paint the car with single stage black so it looks good as is and then when I do get all the LS1 front end parts, I will paint the front end parts and then clear the entire car. Anyways, started sanding down the fender down to factory paint...

Once I got the drivers side pretty much done, I started working on the passenger side. The fender and door where replaced by the previous owner which looks like he got lazy and sprayed one thin coat of rattle can primer on the new parts, so didn't take me too long to sand all that off.

If you're going single stage, I'd do white.
