I personally don't think this style of the ones you originally posted are too bad. Tint them and make them more of a dark cherry and they could look real good.

I saw those also which was why I had posted the black ones up top.

those are PURE SEX. if i still had my Fbody i would have been all over those! i never looked into it because someone said they werent being made anymore

Get some high powered 3157 bulbs 7+ watts and you'll never have to worry about warped/melted lenses again. The housing area is very small abd when applying the brakes the bulb produces a lot of heat, which gets trapped and causes warping... LED bulbs will not produce anywhere near this amount of heat and will never burn out. PM me if interested in exactly which ones to go for...

how good is the light spread on LED's? like is it more of an even distribution of light like normal bulbs?

It's basically the same when looking directly at the lamp as long as one gets the proper high wattage bulbs.
