Default CME owners please help me out!

I've got a used CME valance on the way and was wondering if anybody could help me out with a few questions?

- How much should I expect to pay to have the valance painted?
- What style 3M tape do I need?
- Does anybody have a picture showing exactly where to mount the 3m tape on the valance so it fits perfect?

Should I carry the unpainted valance to my exhaust guy and hold it up to the car while they install the tips then drop off my valance for paint? Just trying to get a good game plan for the CME so when it gets here I'll have everything in line. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Derek

Definitely get it painted and installed before the exhaust shop.

I had mine painted before I installed the exhaust. I paind somewhere around 120 to get it painted. Mine came with tape on it already when I got it from SLP, but the standard 3M tape will work just fine.

Did you install your valance or did the shop do it? Any tips or tricks if you did? Wanna sell your black ZR1's?

Would the factory exhaust not melt the valance on the way to the exhaust shop? It's 35 minutes away.

I installed it myself. I wiped the area down with rubbing alcohol to remove any residue. I know on the SLP valence there is a hole towards the center of the valence. I used a GM push pin I had laying around to secure it. Once I installed it I drove to the exhaust shop after removing the tips from my magnaflow catback.

As far as my ZR1's, I'm looking for a set of 35th's. If I find a set I will be selling them.

Follow my PM. But like Guz mentioned, wipe it down first with alcohol. Isopropyl alcohol if you can. It's cheap and at any drug store.

Thanks! Did you get a chance to take a pic of your tips so I can show my exhaust shop how far to make them stick out?
