Carbon Fiber SS hood
First I would like to state that I knew the fitment would probably/most likely be crap but I had the money and I was curious. Yes the fitment is crap but it still looks pretty badass! :headband: anyways, what I wanted to post was info on the SS hood grill that I just purchased for the carbon fiber hood scoop since it did not come with one. And just like the fitment to car, the grill to scoop fitment sucks as well lol the grill it too tall and not long enough to cover the opening.

Just letting people know that the SS grill will not work without serious modification, the top and bottom can be trimmed but you would have to add material to the sides to get the length needed to cover the whole opening.

Yeah it doesn't look bad when eyeballing it but the fender to hood gap on the sides increased a little and the front of the hood to front bumper gap increased a lot. The real issue is when opening and closing the hood the rear corners of the hood rub, it took about 2-3 hours adjusting it to make it not rub the corners so much (but still rubs) The plan was to paint it red to match the car and keep the center area in front of the scoop carbon fiber but I doubt ill be keeping this on the car. I bought it for weight savings, weighs less than the OEM Z28 hood and my OEM SLP SS hood but with the fitment issues I'll probably end up selling it.

Looking at pic#2 in post 5, it looks like the hood could be pulled forward to meet the bumper better, and that'd probably fix the rubbing issues you have at the rear of the hood/ fenders.... But then it wouldn't line up as nicely with the front of the fenders as it does now. Worth a shot though, it may not be that noticeable, the hood to bumper gap is pretty noticeable though.
As for the grill, doesn't look like there's much you can do with how wide the cut out is. I'd take it to a body shop and have them shave out the whole opening and just run it without a grill at all. Someone on here has done that, looked really clean.

BTW this is the fully functional VIS ram air hood with the air channels underneath, not the ones that come none cut/non functional, those hoods you can cut out a hole that would allow the grill to fit but you wouldn't have the "ram air" functionality...
