Default How to Remove A-Pillars from Hardtop

I have a 97 Camaro base model that needs a new dash pad. I am considering going the route of vinyl wrap but I'm still checking out different sites to find a replacement pad.

I have a hard top and I can't seem to find a guide on how to remove the A-Pillars except when its on a T-Top vehicle. If there is a guide, hopefully with pictures, please let me know. I did a few different searches using some different keywords but I was unsuccessful in finding any info.

Any help is appreciated!

-Tony

Pretty sure they're held on with metal retainers under the pillar. Just gentley pull it off.

Would I just start pulling on the outside of the pillar by the door or the windshield?

Put down your purse and grip it and rip it! Start at the top, put your fingers between the headliner and A-Pillar and give it a tug down and out. From there just angle it down and slightly pull down and out and the clips will release from the body by the windshield.

LOL! Fair enough! Anywhere I can find a sticky/write up on how to do it step by step? I'd rather not f*** up my cars headliner and/or pillars.

You probably aren't going to find one dedicated solely to just taking it off. It's something that is so easy most people just take it for granted. It literally just pops off, just put your fingers between the headliner and A-Pillar plastic trim and pull slightly down and out towards you and the clips will release. You won't mess anything up, you'll see once you do it.

My passenger side wont stay in place. The plastic tabs that the metal hanger holds are all worn out.
But seriously, it's super easy to remove.
