LED bulbs for gauges
LED bulbs for gauges I just have a quick question about replacing the bulbs behind the gauges with LEDs. I have a Trans Am and I know the red film is behind the gauges that will not let you change colors which is fine. My question is, do you have to remove the gauge needles to change to LEDs? I didn't really want to mess with those, so just checking before purchase. Thanks!
No, don't have to remove the needles. Just make sure when you put the cluster back in the dash that the needles are sitting where they need to be. When I went to LEDs in my cluster I didn't notice the speedometer needle had fallen down too low and had actually gotten pinched between the cluster and the clear cover on top. Had to take the cover back off and put the needle back where it's supposed to go.

You need 194 bulbs. 5 white ones for the backlighting, 2 green ones for turn signals, and 1 blue one for the high beam indicator. Get the WLED-x5 bulbs from superbrightleds.
