White Turn Signal lights
I'm a long time visitor to the site but newly active member.
I've been doing a forum search on this subject but couldn't find anything satisfactory so I'm trying my luck. I have an 02 Firebird with stock lights, but want to install brighter, white-light turn signals that wont mess with the electrical system. I noticed the actual lens has a yellowish tint also, so maybe I'd have to replace it also? I'm not looking for LED, but maybe Xenon or something that makes a bright, white light.
Also, does anyone know how to mod the turn signal lights so that they're always on and just blink when turn signal is activated?
I've included an image with the lights in question. Thanks in advance.
the yellowish tint is from the age of the lenses combined with the amber bulb inside it, you don't need to "mod" those lights to be "always on" they are the DRL's so they should already be "always on", if they aren't then either the filaments are burned out or some previous owner has messed with the wiring.
1) Take the lenses apart (will take some persuasion)
2) Sand the reflective housing
3) Spray the sanded housing with chrome spray paint
4) Purchase plexi glass or lexan
5) Cut to size
6) Seal onto housing with silicone
