Clock in dash
Clock in dash So I've taken out my rear seats, and therefore I don't really see a purpose in the center vent in my dash. I'd like to take it out and put in an analog clock, which would help because my aftermarket stereo has no clock built into it. Any thoughts, opinions, ideas? Thanks, friends
Isn't a center analog clock sort of an old man Buick thing? Don't take it the wrong way but I don't think that fits the cars theme.
Maybe get a new radio, post 1996 preferable? Lol. Who even made a radio without a clock display?

It is haha I do agree, but I have a thing for watches so I think that'd be kinda cool. I bought it like 3 years ago from Radioshack, it was a Sony. Sound quality is great, but every other feature... Not so much.

I'd upgrade your faceplate or whole stereo system, you may even have a setting on the one you have now you're not aware about.

Analog clock in the dash is a 1980's mid size sedan thing, and you should definitely get a better radio that has a clock. I'd question the quality of the stereo if it doesn't have a common clock. Again IMO that's like a 1980's radio. I wouldn't have even swapped from the stock stereo for something like that.

Its your car though man, so if thats what you want there are options out there that will blend perfectly with normal gauges. The speed hut 2 1/16 clock you can customize it however you want and its fairly cheap.

new radios are like $120 for a relatively nice one. I got mine for about that price with aux input, blutooth connectivity with mic for phone use, usb input for ipod, and the wiring adapter from double d mods. they're a sponsor on here, very happy with the product and price! http://doubledmods.com/

I haven't put it in yet but I like analog clocks as well and if you throw one of these in with one of the 6le vent pods it might look good and it's tinted so you can always shut it off and just have the black.

Thumbs way down. Clock in dash = useless. That's what cell phones are for. Im not saying to be on ur phone while driving but it takes 2 seconds to glance and see the time. There's way to many other gauges to choose from that have more meaning than a clock. Then again this is just my opinion and its your car
