Default Smooth out door bumper guards

Just a quick update on how I removed the door guards. IMO, I like the smooth look to the body, and they were faded some what.

1. Since the door guards are that automotive double side glue tape crap, I took some spray nine and soak the corner I started on .

2. I took a small pair of needle nose and pinched a corner of the guard and pulled down on a angle away from the door.( if you can soak the glue/ tape with spray nine, it might take the body glue along with it. Do it in sections and take your time.)

3. There is adhesive remover, I for get the name, but if you can not get any take a soft rag and with some light force with your thumb, push the glue into its self.
Once again this is only if you can get the adhesive remover for body glue. Take your time is the best advice.

Goo Gone sucks ***** for that adhesive, Goof Off is way easier.

Sorry for the late response, I did not use goo gone. I used Spray nine and let it sit for a few ( maybe 2 hours ). It softened up, and I just peeled it off!

yea it would've been much easier using the goof off, I did it to my other TA and the paint shop at my dealership had some spray that let me pull door guards and emblems to repaint. I like the other Write -Up!
