My t tops were tinted, im assuming factory, but it was still too light for me especially in mid day. I bought some static cling tint 20% I believe. It's a lot easier than regular tint imo and its removable. Plus easier to apply, like the plasti dip of tint. if you don't like it just peel it off. I took my t tops off, layed them on some towels in the kitchen. Cut the tint roll according to the size of the inside of the t top. Sprayed a mix of soap and water on the t top, layed the tint down. Took a rag and card and squeezed all the bubbles out. Done. I like it. It's still somewhat transparent in the sun but not too much.
The stuff can be found for $10 a roll.
Now ive just gotta get my hatch and side windows tinted. I'm thinking 20% rear 35% fronts. I tried doing the fronts myself with regular tint. Definitely failed at that...
