Default Carpet options 2014

I've gone back through and searched for carpet options but I have not seen an updated version of this for quite some time. I know speed inc used to sell a lightweight carpet option, and it appears that ACC also sells a carpet replacement option as does Hawks Third Gen (maybe it's the same)??

The one thing that I keep seeing however, is that aftermarket carpet fits like garbage...?

Does anyone have any recommendations or information on our carpet replacement options recently?

Thanks

I've got the speed inc carpet. I think its someone else's they just sell it under their name. Its a really nice carpet for the money. It is slightly molded, and fits like crap but good enough. Its a good option for someone looking to either lose some weight or replace worn out stock stuff. Maybe with more patience you could get it to fit better. Front is nice but it has trouble molding into the deep crevices of the foot wells in the back and it all goes to **** after that. Also, it has less padding in the front and the imperfections in the floorpan molding shows through more then stock. Meaning the stock carpet makes the floor look flat as a board, this carpet the floor seems more wavey and uneven.

If your just looking for an original color carpet check ebay or the forum for a low mileage one. That way you don't have to worry about it not fitting good.

Wound up finding carpet out of a 40,000 mile WS6 on Ebay. No rips, no wear, just a little soiling that a good shampoo will take care of. Already cut obviously, and perfectly moulded.

Just got an aftermarket carpet from one of the co's. mentioned here.
Great carpet for a race car, cuz it weighs about one tenth of the OE carpet. This is without the mass backing. Maybe it would fit better with it, but I cheaped out and had to work my *** off to get it to fit 80% as well as OE. The carpet itself is nice quality tho, and the upgrade they sell is even better, density-wise.
If I had it to do over, a good used OE carpet is better...

I Replaced my factory carpet with some from Stockinteriors, it fit like ****, and faded severely from red to faded orange in a few years. Weighed as much as factory at 50 pounds.
I wanted to get speedinc carpet but from everything I have seen they only sell full weight stuff now. Even the site has no mention of lightweight carpet.
Ended getting 5 yards of 80" ozite, weights 8 or 10 pounds uncut from what I remember weighing it in at.

The nature of the beast is that carpet needs to be worked into place to get it right.

It's not listed as lightweight on speed Inc's website.
