Just curious, what are you guys doing to prepare your bumper for a billet grille?

Painting the background black? Leaving it alone?

 

Haven't personally done one on I assume an f-body that you have, But I think blacking out behind looks best, especially up close. I have on some vehicles made a black background using a perforated metal (holes) with a largely open pattern or thin expanded metal, sometimes such as the homestores sell for gutter grilles.

 

i painted mine semi black, looks good and really makes the grille stand out
