Ugh, Damn Wildlife You would think growing up in rural Eastern Montana I would have a professional eye and the reaction time to avoid wildlife. I move to the Denver area and on the way to school the other day. I hit a big *** Racoon on Gun Club Road (Back Road) I mean BIG Racoon. Like, "Ima Rape you and take your Picnic Basket and theres nothing you can do about it" Racoon. At any rate I pulled into the gas station to fuel up and check for damage. It was still dark so I couldn't see any damage at that point. Washed my car ad UP! I wanted to Cry! Guess its time for the COMP TA to get a new paint job. I'm thinking about some variation of Gun Metal. Haven't decided yet. Ugh, I was just trying to get a few more days of enjoyment out of her before I put it away for winter.

dude, as far as hitting animals go thats nothing. I had an owl fly into the mesh grille I had on my old tahoe, hit something in my old civic (13 years ago) and gad to pick pieces of it off the underbelly neon kit I had back then, then there was the time a small dog ran out infront of the car and scooped up in the front bumper till I stopped and it slid another 20-30 feet and cracked the bumper clean in 2 or the time I clipped a deer in the civic and busted the headlight, crushed the fender and rippled the passenger door. I also clipped a deer in the Tahoe which pushed in the corner of the bumper but I never bothered fixing that. but everyone of those was worse then what you got there, heck I even clipped a deer in my bird last year.

I am currently attending Lincoln Tech, taking the Automotive Program and will be rounding it out with the Autobody next year. Figured it was time to use my GI Bill for something.

Sounds like you need to stay off the back roads! LoL, sorry about your luck man. Back in 2007 I hit a sage grouse with my 2004 Sierra Denali Pickup and the the little bird took out my entire front grill and headlight. Also almost took a stupid hawk to the chest on my 2007 Yamaha R1.
Plus it's kinda hard to "stay off" the back roads when that is where you live, most of these happened on a 2 lane 55MPH road and most where closer to town then the house.
I live much closer to town now but deer is still a big thing to watch for, there will be days I see between 10 and 30 on my way home each night for a week or 2 straight.

Isnt that where you wanna drive your cars?? on the backroads? who wants to drive thru the city in a hot rod? I prefer two lane rural roads with twists and turns or rural interstate. If the city is my destination, I wont take it*
Yup, hell who cars how fast you can go in a straight line if you can't corner. Corners are much more fun.
