2016 headlights in retrofit application

2016 headlights in retrofit application Considering buying 2016 Camaro headlights off e-bay for a custom front end job on my 83 el camino. I'd imagine that the hid/ballast setup would be similar to the older models some of you have experience with.
Since some headlights don't include ballasts & I'd most likely have to purchase a factory wiring harness to tap into them, would I likely be better off getting an aftermarket hid setup, such as morimoto, to fit into the 2016 factory lights??
Also, anybody have a clue if I might be able to hook up the factory 2016 running lights without buying a factory harness?
Any thoughts & suggestions appreciated.

Where there's a will, there's a way!
For the HID I'd just do a good aftermarket HID kit like the Morimoto stuff.
The running lights I would guess have the LED drivers etc as part of them so likely you'd just need to apply 12V to the appropriate places, but this is just a guess.

Guy listing the 2016 Camaro parts on e-bay called be yesterday. He works at some sort of place getting in truckloads of take off parts & such mostly headlights. Can get me an undamaged pair of 2016 Camaro lights for 400each, may have a set with damaged tabs for less. $25 each more for ballasts.
I'll ask later if he has any 2010 to 2015 stuff.
looking at a 2016 Camaro front parts list I had printed at dealership, I see there is a driver for the led drl strips & a small section of wiring harness for that area. So I guess If nobody here has any solid info on these things, I might just find a mechanics shop paying for that service that you can pull up wiring schematics to print me a schematics sheet for the headlight/drl light stuff.

Just found out gen5diy.com has a set of new 2016 Camaro headlights with a connector pigtail for hid & drl for $950 shipped, Sounds pretty good. Not listed on their website yet. GM list is more than that per side. The only signal light pigtails they can get right now are $75 each [ouch] & auxiliary drl's are $220 each. GM list is over $390 each on them.
