Default Blue Bowtie For Billet Grille

Hey guys I was just wondering what kind of bowtie I need to get that will fit into my billet grille to make it look like a ZL1 grille. I bought a 69 Standard Camaro Grille emblem but it was curved to much and looked funky. What is the best way to install it? Also my car is NBM with silver grand sport hash marks and silver Z emblems would you leave the grille polished or paint it silver like the ZL1 grilles.

Thanks

I would leave the grille polished, but do what you like. I think the bowtie you need is from an El Camino, or Chevelle. I'm not sure what year though.

My grille is powdercoat black on NBM and looks great. I bet silver would look good too. I do not like the polished ones. Th eemblem you need is a 69 chevelle. I tried to get a GP but no one stocks it and cant get any kind of deal on them.

It is very easy. They come with two long studs and two self tapping bolts. You just have to position it correctly. There is a place in Centralia Wa. that had them in stock when I bought mine. I will try to find the name and post it up.

I believe it's curved differently and will not fit the grille properly. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

69 chevelle is a perfect fit with no adjustments, have one on a polished grille
...Trimparts.com has every emblem you could think of but their a bit pricey, but you could use them as a reference for what is needed.

Year One carries all kind of old style emblems, I have a 69 Camaro SS emblem on my car, but the angle on the 69 grille was much greater, so I had to flatten out the emblem, BE CAREFUL if you have to flatten out the emblem, that metal is very frail (?) and will break in half you bend it too fast. A propane torch and light heat should do the trick.
