Which replacement carpet to use ?

As the title indicates, which new carpet type is recommended for a remove & replace job ? Without backing, with backing, etc..... I will be doing all the work myself.

I'm going with stock interiors for my carpet. They sent me some samples and a couple look like they match the factory color.

I've heard a few people that got the backing from stock interiors say it made it harder to install. Wouldn't mind getting more details on that

The color will be black. My concern about is with or without backing.

I went with the Stock Interiors carpet for my hawk 2 years ago!

I liked and went with the black color, not grey! not ebony!
I opted for the Plush carpet and extra Mass-Backing.

If I was to do it again, I'd skip the Mass backing.
It is harder to install and not as form fitting as I would have liked. the standard backing would have been perfect.

That said, it's settled over time, and I'm okay with it. But like I just mentioned it's overkill.
