Well Piedmont Plastic wasn't the one, but was nice enough to offer a suggestion. They recommended I try VP Express Parts. They were not the ones but told me they think the company was or is now Accuform out of Utah. They have a website but I only see dash pad caps so far. Sent them a mail but maybe a dead end.

A friend turned me on to Lethal Interiors who makes a fabric dash pad that replaces the stock upper pad. It is NOT 1 of those entire dash covers that are hideous. And it was $50 new.

Called them. It gives a new number to call. That number is for Accuform which is still in Utah. Damn it , full circle.

So far customer service Sucks at Accuforminc. Never had to work so hard to give someone my money. Takes a week to answer emails and never really answer the question. They says its 229.00 for the dash pad but never actually says its a full replacement no matter how many times I ask. Its not on their website either. I will give it a shot if they actually respond to the latest email.

Received replacement pad today. At first I was quite excited to open it up. It has foam, clips and velcro installed. They normally come in black but I ordered it Dark Gray, so they say they spray them with a vinyl paint. From 8 feet away it looks pretty good, but upon closer inspection I see 3 noticeable flaws. I have sent an email to see what the next step is. Return it or try to live with it.I wont live with it for the cost though. The car isn't a show car but for 294.00 shipped ( 229.00 plus shipping) I expect better QC. Sent an email to sales manager to see what she wants to do. I havn't posted pics in forever so dont have any to show yet. There was no way I was going to spend 450.00 on OEM so 229.00 sounded good at the time. If this gets handled promptly and correctly and fitment goes well I could see them selling a lot of these.
I will see if I can get pics up.

So what are the flaws? I just got the Camaro Central one and it's not perfect. I still need to hit it again with the heat gun, but I've been working on my cooling system.

Camaro Central Dash Pad

Camaro Central Dash Pad

Poor initial fit

Getting better with work on velcro replacemnt, drilling so light could go in, cutting back side so both sensor could fit in. glued them to make sure they stay, and then using a heat gun improve fit. I hit it on two different days to get to this point and it will take on ore two more tries. I also wonder if a good day in summer sun could have it lay down.

Mine had 2 spots where something must have been in the mold and left a pattern in the plastic. The third spot was a sanding scuff mark about 1"square in the edge closest to passenger. Looked like the guy cleaning up after molding slipped with the sander. Took me about 3 days to get a hold of someone and they had ups pick it up and are sending a new one. Not sure about fittment yet.

It wasn't cheap. Whatever the site was plus shipping. $330 and shipping so like $353. No one there got back to me and I still didn't get it fit 100%. I think I'll call them Friday and let them know the lack of a call back is BS. I'm pretty sure I can get it to fit, but I sort of don't care as I can't go back now. My old one turned into dust as I pulled it. So even with the carpet cover that was on it to cover the cracks. I couldn't get it to stay in place to hold the cover now. I do like the black more so I think I'll be working toward a black interior.

So they had ups pick up my blemished replacement pad last week and said they were going to send another one out the day that one got picked up. Called yesterday to get tracking number. They said they will call back. An hour later had to call them and they had a number. Tracked it, and it showed generated, waiting for ups to pick up, meaning the jackass sales manager forgot to ship it. I'll be surprised if she shipped out a dark gray one as she was scrambling to cover her lack of ability to do her job.
So still can't give feedback on fit and finish. Just feedback on Accuform Plastics in Utah sucks ***.

So any update on this? I don't mind spending a little more to get one that is as good as oem.

I installed mine a few weeks ago. Had to modify and glue in holes for security and sensor. Then when I put it in, the hump above steering wheel is too high. I tried using epoxy and weight to hold it down but it popped back up. Color match dark grey isn’t very good. I will try to get it to lay down but it’s kinda in there now as I epoxied All the clips. They seemed too small or something. Overall Do Not buy this from these people.
The customer service is terrible. Quality control is terrible , fit and finish is mediocre. For 294.00 shipped there must be a better option. If it wasn’t a car I really don’t mess with much and just sits I would be very unhappy. But as it was just to get by so I can maybe get it running and drive or race once a month or sell or trade, it’s ok. But if there was any way this was still my baby, a factory dash for 450.00 would be the only way I would go.
