Default Tire question?

If I have a tire 17 x 9, will or can it be made to fit a rim 17 x 9.5? any help within the next few hours would be much appreciated!

Do you mean 275/40/17?

If it is a 275/40/17, it will fit a 9 or 9.5 rim with no problems.

A 275/40/17 would probably be the recomended tire size for a 17 x 9.5 rim.

They are 245/45/R17. What do you think?

I personally wouldn't do it. 245/45 = 8" rim and 9.4" tire width 275/40 = 9.5" rim and 10.8" tire width.

That means you would have a .1" more wheel than tire.
