Not trying to highjack your thread, but was just curious as to the rear valence Wicked linked...

Is that the actual CME valence? The only one I've seen is packaged with their 1000 kit. What else would one need, if they JUST got that valence? Just the tips?

Sorry, I am planning on doing the CME on my upcoming SS.

Thanks

SiDeWaYZz28,

Absolutely, positively get the'02 single rear CME valance. It fits the car perfectly as it continues with the factory lines of the car. The single valance curves inward complementing the back of the car while the disgusting 2 piece valance curves outward looking like some kind of fat ladies skirt. The 1 piece blends so smothly that many people think it is part of the car and not added on.

Here is a pic of mine showing how the 1 piece valance curves inward.......

and a close up of the rear corner.......

Definitely go with the OEM 1 piece valance...as everyone else has said, it's way more subtle and blends with the body lines much better. 10758K is the correct part number.

the one piece i had quad exhaust on my Z and have cme on my SS if you put the 2 piecer on there it wont look right you need the single. The only way i would say go with the 2 piece is if you have a ground effects kit in that case it comes a good 1 inch or so lower then the 1 piece and would look better in that case.

Here is the website to my Pewter 99 SS with recently installed CME. For sure go with this one piece valence. The two is just plain ugly.

is there anywhere else to get the one piece valence besides spending an arm and a leg over at SLP???? Im surprised some aftermarket fiberglass companies like Suncoast or VFN havent started making it, I think they would get A LOT of business because the interest is high on this product. Maybe I'll shoot them an email and see what they have to say.

I was never fond of the 2 piece design.. most likely why they changed it to the one piece design.. its better
