Default Trans Am headlight cover removal

Can the covers be removed without removing the entire assembly? Plenty of posts on that, but can’t locate one for just the covers.
Thx

You're referring to the metal top of the headlight assembly, with one having the PONTIAC logo? There are 4 screws holding it on. 2 are accessed with the headlight down, the other 2 with it up.

Yes, but I am thinking the covers are fiberglass for a 2000 year model. I am unsure of how I could access any part of the assembly with the headlight and cover down, but I’ll look it over this evening.

Thx

I'm parting out a 98 and own an 01, both are metal. Pop the hood, and look at the back side it it. You'll see two tabs with screws holding it down. Then with the headlight up, on is on the front, one is on the side.

I get it now. Just assumed the covers were glass like the hood. Many thanks

I forgot one thing, once it's popped up, there are 3 screws holding on a black bezel that covers up the low and high beam headlights. That has to come off to access the front/side screws. I tried googling a pic for you but no dice. I can take a pic when I get out to my car after work and show you where they're located.

Edit, I can't attach pics for some reason.

Only the ws6 hood is glass. The regular hood is steel.
