Engine pressure washing
Engine pressure washing Hello, is it wise to do this? my engine looks pretty dirty and I wanted to add some bling to it I. E. Anodized fittings and braided hoses as well as red or blue silicone hosing. I wanted to clean up the motor first. Thanks in advance

It's not a big deal...if it's super dirty start with old fashioned "Gunk" (warm the engine first, don't "heat" it! and be sure and protect the electronics and ABS control), then follow up with "Simple Green" and LOTS of hand wiping/polishing...you'll be amazed at the results!
Oh yes, no need for a pressure washer, just use a good hi pressure nozzle...
I have a number of cars and all of the engines/bays look as they did from the factory and all I've ever done is what I described above...it's so simple/easy!
