Trans Am Tail Lights I have one taillight that is a little rough. I thought no biggie I got a good deal on the car. But hokey pokey they are crazy expensive! I'm guessing I should replace both for a good match, then sell my old ones on ebay or something........any way my question is is there aftermarket? Also what years fit my 1997 TA WS6? Otherwise I'm thinking of getting blackout covers and put in brighter bulbs! Thanks so much, Danni 
no after markets available. Either buy used or salvage (if you can) your existing ones.
Blackouts, I was just reading about this. rumor has it that black outs with brighter bulbs can distort and warp the existing tail lights causing more damage than you already may have.
I paid for a new tail light for my '02. i think i paid $125 - but turned around and told the old one for $50 as is.

The 4th gen firebird taillights are interchangeable so you can run the smooth (base firebird), grid (LT1) or honeycomb (LS1). If you think one looks better than the others it's a perfect time to switch them up. Just be on the lookout for any deep scratches on the lens. Mine had a few and a year later I found they were actually cracks that are slowly opening up.
