Default Help identifying hood?

Hell everyone,

First post here and I apologize if I am posting in the wrong section. I recently bought a Trans Am and the hood is missing the mesh grille inserts.

I need help help identifying the hood because I’m not convinced that it is a genuine WS6 hood...I don’t see any stickers or stamped GM etc.

It does not have any heat extractors in the back facing the windshield, so it is not A12 from TF.

Any help is is greatly appreciated, thank you!

That looks like a real WS6 hood to me.

I say that because of the seams and the rivets. Real WS6 hoods were made in multiple pieces that were assembled into one hood, whereas aftermarket hoods are one piece.

Man I can only hope so! It seems like two stickers came off and they never painted underneath the hood...
the other issue is the gap on the drivers side...although that could be due to them installing a headlight from a different (red) car.

To be a little more clear, I believe it is a real WS6 hood that came off of a different car (because the underside isn't black).

I know the headlight assembly is adjustable in all directions, but I have never done it so I'm not comfortable enough with the process to give instructions. I think you need a Phillips screwdriver, 10mm socket, ratchet, extension, and a T10 torx.

You might be able to get some better advice on correcting body gaps in the paint and bodywork section.

Good Luck!
