Ceramic Coating 10H hardness
I am currently talking with a shop to have them cermaic coat my trans am with this newer 10H hardness ceramic coating. Supposably they are cutting me a 50% off deal since they want to use my 01 WS6 for their car show show dispaly, and they will apply the ceramic coating to my car, and do any paint correction that is necessary. Their quote to do the job over the phone is $800-1200. This come with a 4 year warranty. What's everyones advice and input on dealing with ceramic coatings? Do you think this is a good deal? Is it worth trying to do this job yourself and save some money? Just curious what everyone thinks... Thanks!
As far as longevity and durability that is going to vary by location, the environment it is exposed to and how it is maintained. Be sure to read that warranty.
The price is another variable. That is going to vary bu location as well. A majority of the price is the labor.
I am a fan of coatings. I have used quite a few of them. I do all the work myself and I would recommend doing it yourself. But if cost is not an issue and you don't have the time then perhaps go the professional route. Be sure to research them and the quality of their work.
