A heat gun helps form it to the floor if it doesn't want to cooperate. Also, be careful about cutting any material away. You can't add it back if you do. Take your time and go slow with the fitting and cutting any holes for bolts and accessories.

Measure twice cut once, like spamfritter said heatgun helps, you can also leave out in the sun for an hour or 2.
Use a soldering iron for the bolt holes, whatever you do don't use the drill. You can use spray glue to hold it down, it helps especially around the hump.
Make sure everything is the way you want it before you cut the sides.

On a hot day, you can stretch it out on your drive way for about 30 minutes or so. It accomplishes basically the same thing. I've done it that way as well.
