Default Flock-It

I just saw this video on fixing dash cracks and one of the products is "flock-it". The end result looks like the dash was wrapped with suede. In reality, it is probably more like those flocked foam holiday decorations. Has anyone on here tried this? My dash isn't cracked, but I'm tempted to get a cracked one to try it.

Now I'm wondering what else to try.... spray glue and...hmmm sand...glitter...... or maybe a matte spray-on bed liner.

I saw some youtubes on that and it looks like spraying glue over the dash and shaking a toner cartage over it. Seriously though, it gives a texture and look to the dash but must be hard to keep clean. Would you vacuum it, if so wouldn't it just disappear over time? I wonder how it handles smells, retains them or not? Can it handle moisture as many of our cars are t-tops? Looks like fun putting it on though!

Some guys have done this on the Miata forums and have good luck. You'd have to remove the dash as it's a really messy procedure. Durability seems pretty good from what I've read.

Im tempted to do it on my cracked up dash on my s10. Im have not seen any durability test I was also concerned with keeping it clean and also if it holds up to UV rays. Id hate for it to turn pink lol
