My dash pad was wrapped with a foam backed material by a previous owner which was sun bleached. I've managed to get the majority of the material off without too much difficulty. The contact adhesive and some foam are leftover. Any thoughts on what would remove the adhesive without melting the plastic dash pad? Assuming it wont come off perfectly, at least I can vinyl wrap it. Thanks!
I'll give it a shot, but that stuff typically works better on sticky adhesives. This stuff isn't sticky anymore. Probably been there close to 20 years! I was thinking mineral spirits, but not sure if it would damage the plastic?
Multiple soakings/scraping with goo gone and it's pretty well back to new. I may still wrap it with alcantara just to preserve it and reduce the glare.
