Anzo Projector headlights
Any information on install? Or recommended them or similar? Wanting to pull the trigger on my first mod to my fresh 2000 Z28
thanks
If you see any that use an H3 bulb for low beam. skip them.
If you see any that use H1 bulb for low beam, check if the projector has been replaced with a better projector like a Morimoto or ACME Mini-H1 HID Projector (or another copy).
Most cheap ebay aftermarket projector headlights use the same couple crap projectors. Sometimes you get lucky and there is something good in there, but we haven't had much luck with 1998-2002 Camaro. On the other hand, some places (like BLS / Blackbird Lighting Solutions) sell customized / upgraded housings with better projectors in them.
If you see any that use a 9005/9006 or H7 or H9 for low beam, they might be good (some are pretty good), but I haven't seen any like that for a 1998-2002 Camaro in quite some time (there was one a while back, but I didn't see anyone on here try them).
If you see any that use D2S bulb, then those are using a real HID Projector and probably have pretty good output. However, the only ones like that I've seen for a 1998-2002 Camaro were custom ones either done by the car's owner or a retrofit shop (like BLS or another).

Any links you can post of which you found?
If you are handy, you can open up a set of OEM-Style headlights and install Morimoto or ACME Mini-H1 HID projectors. That is what BLS and other retrofitters do. There are larger better projectors you can install too but they may require more work. There are threads on here and videos on YouTube showing how to do it.
There were a set of "R8 Style" projector headlights that some places say use H7 bulbs for the low beams and some say H1 bulbs for low beams. I haven't seen any output shots of those and they seem to be rare. Pics of the rear aren't very telling since they are usually small/grainy and have the rubber caps on. I doubt they were H7; most-likely H1.
