How to remove dried wax?
There's got to be a way to remove this stuff ive tried with a wet towel and cant remove it. Im not to comfortable with a big buffer polish electric pad as its possible to burnt thru the paint.
Is there a paint POLISH not wax that will remove this stuff down to the bare paint surface to be rewaxed.
I used turtleshell hardshell tub wax and not the liquid wax that i usually use which comes off pretty easy as its a liquid vs this paste type of wax that dries.
I had gotten it as walmart had it for 4.50$.
So you think regular paint polish will work and remove any contaminants leaving it down to unwaxed clear coat/paint?
I knew someone that used that 10-12" buffer or polisher with the puffy pad on his car and it had ate off the clear coat i believe probably not done right lol i dont want to mess with one as i havent had experience using one but i do have a round electric polisher in that size as well im too afraid to burn the paint.
I think the hand polish for paint should remove it? Its just the standard turtle wax super hard shell tub of wax thats usually 6$ i had found it at the local walmart for 4.50$ good price. Maybe the liquid paste wax is better. It was just last march i think when i waxed the car.
As for interior will mothers vlr vinyl leather rubber cleans conditions protects work best on the seats and possibly center console, dash, door panels or should armor all protectant be used on the dash area and door panels? Its a c5 i think the dash isnt abs plastic but some kind of vinyl or leather wrapped material? Whats the best protectant for the dash as it gets up to 107 degrees according to the ambient sensor during the texas heat and sure bet it would do damage over time.
I wash it at home and wax as well i try not to do it under a tree as leaves, debris will fall on it and end up tearing into the paint once detailing.
