Default Durability of bondo applied in small amounts

I am getting my car repainted due to a parking error of one of my co-worker here. I just was wondering about the durability of bondo applied in small patches since I saw my car at the gm dealership all sanded up and preped it was pretty hard to see actually. Other then that I will let you guys know how it went. It's getting painted today actually. One not so rare repainted bright green metallic Z.

With being a dealership I doubt very seriuosly they are using the "bondo" brand of body plastics. All in all if the area is prepped right and cleaned, and the mixture is not too heavy or light with hardener, you will never have a problem,if you do their warranty will cover it

Most dealers around here use the upper brands of paint such as DuPont,PPG,Glasurit, etc. If the users and dealership are certified to use their materials, there is a lifetime warranty on the paint, and in most areas the dealers have lifetime on there work too(body plastics cracking, peeling, etc)

Also, if this was an insurance claim and you went to a shop that the insurance company recommended then you should have a lifetime warranty from the insurance company.

SSZSLP is correct "Bondo" is just a brand. It is actually a plastic filler that is used. If done properly you should not have any problems whatsoever. People don't realize that you car from the factory has filler on it.

Make sure when you pickup your car to check over it very closely. If there is anything wrong get it fixed right then.

Thx guys I appreciate the info. The insurance company wanted me to pick up some half decent guys so I went with my own garage that I trust way more. So the insurance can't garantee the work done but I still got the garantee the gm dealership does tho and that should good enough right ? It's the best around town and the only place I could fully trust them with my baby
